Inspiration
The Tim & Tom Gullikson Foundation is inspired by Tim Gullikson, a former ATP Tour Champion and coach of such notable players as Martina Navratilova and Pete Sampras. While coaching Sampras, Tim was diagnosed with brain tumors. He was deluged with support from family, friends and medical professionals, but became deeply concerned about the level of care and support for other patients and caregivers. As a world-class tennis competitor and coach, Tim was convinced that the lessons and principles he learned both on and off the court would be helpful in enhancing the quality of life for brain tumor patients and their families. On that hopeful premise, Tim and his twin brother, Tom, formed the Tim & Tom Gullikson Foundation in 1995. Tim's spirit and vision guide the Foundation today to create and support programs that build a brighter today and tomorrow for patients and families living with brain tumors.
